Gateway Inn

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins and it was entirely satisfactory, particularly for the price. Plenty of room, quiet, comfortable. Great location immediately at the park entrance and a short drive to Wildberry restaurant, which I highly recommend. It's not a 5 star luxury cabin, but it is quite good. I enjoyed a beverage on the outdoor porch after a tough day of hiking. The only minor complaint is that there should be a kitchenette sink for filling your coffee maker and washing things.

What a fantastic disappointment this place is. Sitting right at the entrance of a national forest, you’d expect a charming, iconic lodge. Instead, you get a masterclass in how to completely mismanage a motel. The bed? A horror show. Blood spotting from bed bugs — a lovely touch if you enjoy wondering what’s crawling on you while you sleep. Five stars for nightmares. Wi-Fi? Of course not. We were told the signal was “weak,” which is a creative way of saying their CenturyLink account was suspended because they didn’t pay the bill ($589.56 , to be exact). Honesty clearly isn’t included in the room rate. Water pressure was so bad that brushing your teeth felt optional. Who needs basic hygiene when you’re “roughing it,” right? The only good thing about this place is the location — it’s right outside Mount Rainier National Park, which made getting into the park super easy. Other than that, the stay was pretty disappointing. The floors were dirty, and I kept getting dirt or crumbs on my feet. There was dust everywhere and cobwebs hanging in corners, which made it hard to relax knowing there were probably bugs nearby. Every surface just felt grimy — I didn’t even want to set my stuff down. Dirt in every corner. Sink easily clogged. Water was lukewarm. When the maid came in to do daily cleaning, the soap was refilled however everything else just felt like there was bare minimum effort — when the maid made the bed, the comforters were just thrown over pillows that were all out of order to have almost just like compl

Nice for a very rustic and historical motel. The cabins were nice, but could have been a little cleaner. The location is it's best draw, because the entrance to Mount Ranier is less than 50 yards from the inn. We were able to get into the park early with no wait. We would stay there again.

This cabin is in an amazing location right next to Mt. Rainier National Park! If you're looking to explore the park and enjoy the outdoors, it’s the perfect spot to stay. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, making it a great home base for hiking and nature trips.The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. However, I did have some trouble with the Wi-Fi – it was a bit spotty at times. But considering the location, I didn’t mind disconnecting too much.Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely recommend it for those who want to be close to the park and enjoy a cozy cabin experience.
