AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Never had such a bad experience. Let's start by talking about the hotel itself. Even before you walk into the hotel, the exterior feels dirty. Then I checked in and the water does not drain and the room was obviously not cleaned. There was someone's chewed up gum on the table. So I go to give them a chance to switch me to another room. They said they have no more rooms. So I tell them I'm leaving to another hotel and I will be getting a refund. The guy says okay. Then I turn in my key. Except they lie to the third-party company that I made the reservation through and told them I never turned in my key. So I call the hotel. So the guy tries to threaten me, saying he has video surveillance

Positive: "" Negative: The shower rod was falling and the shower curtain would not close. Water all over the floor when you took a shower and no shower mat.

THEY SCAMMED ME TOO TODAY!! It is not coincidental the unanimous reviews of people complaining about them scamming for the room money. It seems other people have gotten bamboozled also. They will steal your money and deny you at check in for irrelevant untrue accusations. I reported them also to the LA County Attorney General Consumer Complaints and Better Business Bureau. I hope they shut down soon.

We stayed here because we were visiting family that lived nearby. Hotel was clean and acceptable, but only had the basics. The bathroom could use some upgrading. Our room was large compared to an average hotel (we had the 2 queen beds). Definitely is catered towards Chinese families (Chinese stations available on tv, Chinese breakfast items, in addition to your standard free hotel breakfast). Very convenient to restaurants and downtown Monterey Park. While downtown Los Angeles was half an hour away without traffic, most of the time, we planned an hour of travel time to get to where we wanted to go.

Before we checked in there was no mention of a key deposit cash only which was returned upon key return. When we made it to the room the television didn't function at all. The floor looked clean but walking with white socks definitely not clean, tossed away. There were cracks in the ceiling and baseboards too. Then when taking a shower the water pressure kept going in and out. Along with the water temp. Lesson learned you get what you pay for. Breakfast "was" included but not appealing hars time making waffles and not much of other nutritional options, we went to get food elsewhere. Staff overall was great but experience not so much
