Gardenwood Resort

We spent 2 nights in the Managers cabin. It was very quaint. It was clean. We met both the owners. I watched as the husband made every effort to meet with every guest and have a short meaningful conversations with everyone. He made some great recommendations on places to visit. It very much felt like I was visiting a friend I haven't seen in years. The wife was busy with family activities (very understandable) but when she was around she made the effort to introduce herself and check on our stay. Thank you very much. We would go back and would recommend to others.

The new owners are a super nice couple and went out of their way to make sure we were having a great stay! It's not a fancy place but a great place to go with friends/family. The breeze off the lake keeps you cool and the hot showers were great. Our kids thought it was the best vacation - can't beat s'mores over the firepit every night and the cabin refrigerators keep your beverages cold! Was so much fun! Highly recommend getting some friends together and booking several cabins for a group getaway too.

Upon reading some reviews and viewing the location I was super excited to enjoy what seemed like a little oasis just outside Duluth. However, that’s our only complaint about visiting the area was the place we stayed and we will definitely not be going back. We arrived here still excited about all the upcoming things we would be doing and staying at a lovely little place. However, not the case as soon as we arrived the gentleman that checked us in, which apparently also the owner, came to us after we parked and started the check in process. My husband and I were talking with him and he seemed a bit annoyed with us for some reason which is odd considering we just had arrived. This was a cute little stay for a couple nights. Affordable, clean, and cozy. Bathroom could maybe use an upgrade, but it gave us no issues. We stayed in cabin 5. This would be such a fun place to bring a big group to, the cabins are all very close with a large fire pit in the center.

Perfect place for Tucker and myself, clean room's, owners had a bonfire that was perfect for the end of the day! I like salmon fishing and it next door to to a boat launch! All around great weekend!
