Garden Cottages Motel

Cottages are clean with pleasant decor, but they could use some minor upgrades. Some of the parking spaces could be a little larger. Reasonably priced. This is a safe, quiet place to relax in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Hometown feel with lots of interesting attractions, like the sculptures in the park, and if course the PA Grand Canyon.

Rooms were very clean. Don't think they'd recently been re-modeled (no paint smell, etc.) but in very good condition. When we went to office about a burned out light bulb, they immediately came to replace it. We had full kitchen, garbage was removed every day. Fresh towels every day as needed. Location excellent, short drive to attractions. On edge of town, but not right in town (quiet, not too much noise). They had some cottages that allowed dogs which is why I initially booked with them (hard to find somewhere that allowed dogs). We had a small outside table and chairs. Overall, not "the Ritz", not fancy, but nice and kept up well.

Inexpensive, just what we needed and dog friendly. Lost power in the middle of the night which was a little rough. It's about time to replace the mattresses and/or box springs. I thought I'd roll out with the sag on my side of the bed

I stayed there last year for a dickens Christmas and it was nice yes the room was a little out dated but at the time that I reserved the room there was only smoking permitted cottages available so I don't blame them for not updating rooms that people are going to smoke in. They were very polite and I'm planning on staying there again this year. They are very nice people and they are very accommodating. The price of the room is very good they aren't out to rip people off and over charge them. I would highly recommend this place. It's a little gem in wellsboro.

Where to start....||First off after booking on the phone, when we arrived the price of the room changed....went up and then on top of that there was going to be a $13.00 U.S charge for using our credit card. We were going to leave after a very long ride there that day and take our chances somewhere else. They changed their mind, gave us a cheaper room and no extra credit card charge. We had to switch rooms because the wasn't working. The room we had was o.k. but not very clean. You could see the dust on the bench as well as the grim and build up on the jets of the tub, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and that is probably why the place stunk like mold/mildew.||||The bed when you sat on it sounded broken and felt that way, it slanted into the middle so you kept rolling into the midd
