Fossil Motel & RV Park

We have been staying at this motel for years and years. The new ownership has invested large sums to upgrade and remodel these rooms. They are spacious, inviting and reasonably priced. They have amenities that more expensive rooms do not have. Their on site manager, Tucker, greeted us before we could exit our car. Real hospitality! They also have an on site food truck, Expedition Eats. Good food at a good price. Stay there! You’ll thank me later.

Very clean, very comfortable with a great outside area to relax in, great showers also they had a food truck which was good.|We based out of there for 4 days as we rode our adventure motorcycles on various loops around the area. |The town is very friendly, looking forward to returning.

Clean, great shower, comfortable beds, nice outside area, food truck was good too! We had a great time having our home base there while we did a lot of adventure motorcycle riding! We plan to go back!

My mom & I stayed here the night of 6/2/2025 while on a loop to see all the John Day Fossil Beds units. I made the reservation about 30 mins before arriving. It took wasn't quite ready when we got there but it was by the time we finished dinner. The room is a mix of new and old. Everything worked and the beds were comfortable. What more can you ask for?

This is a great little place to stay when you are exploring the area. From here we took a day trip to the fossil beds and then into John Day. While it is just a 1 star motel, it does the job quite well.
