Force on 5th Avenue

Great stay in Duluth! The location was perfect & close to everything we needed for our conference at the DECC. The room was very comfortable, and having two separate rooms with a kitchen area made it ideal for sharing the space with a coworker while still having privacy. The view was gorgeous especially at sunrise. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel with my family to go to Bentleyville for one night in the two bedroom suite. The hotel is amazing and in a great location. Designed very well and has top notch appliances and Aveda bath supplies. Front desk person was nice and helpful. I would 100% stay here again! A couple things to note, the 2 bedroom suite only had a bed in one of the rooms. The other bedroom had a pull out couch. However, I will note that the pull out mattress was very comfortable and seemed like a memory foam and not what you would normally have with a pull out sofa (same as in the sitting room sofa). I could also tell the bathroom sink wasn't fully cleaned as there was residue from soap that was obviously from a previous guest and would have been easily noticed if cleaned. But not a b

We checked into a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite for the weekend. The beds were made but the floors were filthy, countertops not clean, showers both dirty. That said, the front desk reception was more than accommodating. She offered a move to another suite. We moved, it was clean and we had a great weekend!

We were beyond happy with our two room suite at Force on 5th! Everything was wonderful. The views to be able to watch the ships pass under the lift bridge to watching Bentlyville light up and shut down. We were able to walk easily to Bentlyville, then have dinner and back to our hotel. The only confusion came when we parked across the street. Were told it would be $7+ for each time we entered. Since we did not take our car anywhere, we thought this was the perfect option. Ended up when we left the lot it was $24. So we are not sure how the pricing for the lot was calculated, but overall, happy to have close parking. Lovely hotel room with nice view, a full kitchen, dining room table, two bathrooms, plus a second room with a pull out couch. That's why this isn't a 1 star... Our first night was good. Our second day we left for the day to explore. When we came back at 11:07pm, we caught the door to the lobby as two guests were heading out for the night. Once inside, we discovered neither of our 2 key cards worked in the elevator (required to get to any floor). The Force on Fifth doesn't have anyone at the front desk from 11pm to 7am which they did tell us this when we checked in. HOWEVER there's no emergency contact number posted anywhere. Not in the booking emails, on a stand at the front desk, anywhere. I've stayed at hotels with no staff, but they have phone numbers posted in case anything comes up.
