6:30pm in mid September. The campground is quiet, just a little road noise, the grass is green and mowed, our site, #19 is clean and we’re watching the river from our site. I stopped in the restrooms/showers and they’re clean and fine. We have 30/50 amp electricity hook up, and water spigot at the end of our site (see photo). A water refill and dump station could be seen as we drive in as well as a dumpster for bagged trash. Everything is lovely, just wish we had more than an overnight here. We paid only $13 due to having a Senior Lifetime pass, otherwise it would’ve been $26.
Tent campers beware! Sleep is not an option unless you have noise canceling devises!|Whoever designed the campground placed the nonelectric sites at the extreme edge, closest to a busy state highway (and RR tracks, fortunately there weren't any trains that night). We left after 1 night even though we reserved & paid for two.||As a result, I promised my wife that I would never ask her to go camping again, and she accepted. ||Other than that, the park is great.
Second time at this campground, and we really enjoyed it. Had a shad fly hatch the last night but when on the river, it happens ! Well kept, was full to the rafters but quiet. Great place to go with plenty of things to see and do.
Made a Memorial Day reservation for tent camping, we have a tent on top of our truck bed. Usually we don’t have an issue. We weren’t able to park anywhere near the spot. Would have had to set up the tent on the edge of the parking area with all our kitchen set up and everything, not near our spot and far from the fire ring and table. The owners tried to come up with ideas for us, but it was just inconvenient. I guess I should have booked a camper spot. It’s Memorial Day weekend so everything else was full. I was also asked to park farther from our spot because “people with actual tents will need those spots.” It’s a beautiful location. I’m sure with the right equipment it could have been a great weekend. I canceled because they couldn’t truly accommodate; I got back $18 of my $42 reservati
Very nice campground. It consisted of two loops with the bath house and restrooms in the middle. They were very clean and the overall condition of the campground was excellent. Most of the sites were shaded and the spacing between the sides varied a little. There is a nice bike trail that is conveniently located right at the entrance of the campground. There is a nice little walk along the bike trail where you can get to the dam and another Park area. We would definitely stay here again.
