Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Waycross

We moved here from the Hampton last year when visiting family because the Hampton was gross. We were so excited for a brand new hotel. Last year, just weeks after opening, it was great. Return this year expecting the same level of comfort, and we are disappointed. We stayed 6 nights. When we checked in we asked for daily room cleaning. The front desk clerk did not know if they did daily service any longer, but was going to ask. We still asked for it anyway. We got room cleaning 4 of the 6 nights. For the 6th night, we requested it in the AM because we didn't get it the day before, but they still didn't come. The days we did get cleaning, the service was different each day. Some days we got towels, and soap. The next day no new towels, no soap. Make-up wipes only once. No new cups for c

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. It was beautiful The beds were amazingly comfortable as well as the pillows. Breakfast was hot,fresh & tasty. front desk staff, Gracie & Charlene were so nice! They were extremely professional,friendly & very welcoming! I was upgraded to a nicer room, so the room was quite nice. Only negative was that it lacked a full length mirror. Probably one of the only hotels I've stayed at that doesn't have them. I stayed for 4 nights and my room wasnt cleaned a single time. Not sure if I was supposed to request it or not, but not something I've ever ran into. Staff are all pleasant and polite!

This was hard to assign a star value because there were so man pros and cons. The room was big and clean and had the standard amenities. However, whoever designed the rooms must have been new. Some things left us simply scratching our heads (beware the shower and toilet paper LOL), but all in all, a nice room. The staff was nice, but our biggest complaint was that we stayed for 4 days, and never had housekeeping visit our room. We specifically asked for it on day 3 as we were out of towels and needed the garbage emptied. We ended up going to get more towels ourselves and were told to put our garbage in the hallway. If this is the norm, it does explain the bug spray smell that permeated out room from day 1.

We have been loyal Marriott members - gold elite lifetime members - for many years. Tonight was a first. This afternoon, we booked a room at the Fairfield Inn in Waycross, Georgia using points. We received a confirmation. When we arrived at the hotel to check in, the front desk clerk could not find our reservation. We showed her our confirmation and she called the general manager, Brittany Jones. The front desk clerk said Brittany cancelled our reservation as well as 8 other reservations because the hotel was full. We were not called, texted, or emailed to say the hotel was full and our reservation would be cancelled. We drove about 50 miles out of the way to go to a Marriott hotel. The clerk could not even tell us where the nearest Marriott hotel was or even where another hotel in Waycr
