Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Wausau

Overall good experience, clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff at desk. HUGE downsides include no EV charging and ONLY ONE WASHING MACHINE FOR ENTIRE HOTEL. I was here on business and it would been a much better stay if the laundry machine was actually available to use and I didn’t have to drive to a laundromat.

We have stayed at this property several times over the last few years. It is consistently clean, breakfast is always very well stocked (even when the hotel is sold out) and the employees have always been cheerful and pleasant. There is a nice pool area and hot tub my child enjoys and is easily accessible from the highway. It is not a luxury hotel nor a new hotel but do not let that deter you. I am a Marriott Titanium status and travel all over staying at various different hotel levels and brands. This particular property is one of my favorite Marriott properties because of how well it is run and their cleanliness standards.

I found this to be a very accommodating and convenient hotel from the highway. It was quiet, I stayed on the third floor overlooking the parking lot, but did not hear any vehicle noise or hallway noise. I used the pool area which I found quiet nice, large, clean, organized with plenty of fresh towels. I liked how there was a towel placed on the back of each chair too, ready for use. The hot tub has high pressure jets which I enjoyed using. The complimentary breakfast area is large and has a lot of nice seating. The food was a good selection of typical hot food, and cold foods yet had good flavor. I was in Wausau on business and only stayed one night but enjoyed my stay over-all.

Great mid range option in Wausau area. Service was good with all hotel employees being enthusiastic and happy to help. Rooms are as you would expect. Breakfast solid and workout room clean and available. A good choice.

The staff was very enthusiastic and helpful. The pool had a hot tub and looked really nice. There is a workout room. The breakfast was good. The rooms and halls are dated.
