We arrived at the AmericInn on Saturday evening. There were 17 of us with many kids excited to use the pool. We chose this hotel specifically for the pool. Put aside the fact that there was caution tape, construction and peeling paint in SEVERAL locations throughout the pool area (I understand construction needs to happen, but a heads up upon booking would have been nice), there was a thick haze in the pool. Clearly too many chemicals were being used, which caused me to question the pool license. When you turned on the bubbles in the hot tub it caused people to cough and eyes to burn. My friend said there was a drunk man passed out in the gambling/meeting room (which I didn't see at the time). Room was nice. Modern. Clean. I told the front desk to place us in a room close to the lobby and/or pool on the 1st floor if possible because we have an unsteady, walking toddler! They honored the request but put us directly across from the "game room" that was poppin' with tweakers until well past 4am when I walked across the hall and slammed the game room door. One drunk said "oh, we're being too loud?" And the girl (I use that term loosely) talked crap as I walked out. They were still there at 8am buying beer from behind the hotel counter. The parking lot was a sheet of ice. No salt in sight. We tried to enjoy the beautiful pool area but they were doing some kind of work with drill, saws and hammers while we swam! DO NOT STAY HERE. |Pool and slide were great - that's why we booked it, but it's a drug den. A dealer sat outside all night and escorted people to his room. My husband wouldn't let me leave the room alone after dark.

We love staying here. We've brought our family as it's a good half way point for all of us. Nice pool with a slide for the kids,great hot tub and the staff is very nice and accommodating.
