Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Turlock

The hotel is clean & well kept. The staff is eager to please & very accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is well done & and makes the cost of the rooms well worthwhile. We (a group of 4) had a similar breakfast at a nearby McDonald's & paid $50+!

Staff is good, the hotel is located in an area with restaurants and grocery stores

Positive: Staff, room size, cleanliness and good bed. Breakfast selections, jacuzzi heat and cleanliness Negative: Hall noise and slamming doors, lack of insulations/weather stripping at hall door, loud voices, slow to provide daily room cleanup/towels -- had to be reminded. Didn't clean up one of our 2 rooms tho reminded.

We booked this hotel for 4 days to attend a family reunion. Everything was good until Saturday night at midnight we were woken by a sports team running up and down the hallway very noisy and knocking on doors. I opened my door and saw several adults standing so I assumed they had this under control. I waited 45 minutes and called front desk and their response was “we’ll get it squared away”. The next day I spoke with Armando Gonzalez, Front office manager, who didn’t look up from his computer and responded with “we can’t do anything if parents can’t control their kids”. So pretty much deal with it there is nothing the hotel can do. I asked that he review the cameras for 05/24/2025, and hopefully other guests won’t have this issue.

As of early December 2024 they are renovating and I stayed in one of the renovated rooms on the third floor. It was nice but pretty basic. It was smaller than I expected. Their lobby was being renovated too so they had plastic up and were noisy during the day. This location is right off the freeway which is convenient but the HUGE negative is the train that will wake you up three or four times a night. It is right there so it can't be avoided. Their breakfast is free which is nice but is just an egg dish, a meat and a waffle. They do have some yogurt and toast but it is pretty basic. Staff was nice but nothing exceptional it seemed like they were always doing something on the computer.
