Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Springfield Enfield

Positive: The staff was friendly when I checked in Negative: There was no hot water. Their boiler went out. At 9 PM I was told it would be working in 10 minutes. It still wasn’t working the next morning. I canceled my second day stay. They gave me a $20 refund for the night. It should have been free.

Staff is helpful. Hotel is comfortable. The temperature control in the rooms is frustrating. Barn doors in the bathroom give no privacy. Parking lot is dark at night. Other than that had a nice stay.

This was a lovely place to stay. The room was spotless and comfortable (though I agree the sliding bathroom doors are not ideal for privacy!) It worked great for a family stay. Nice hot breakfast with many choices and friendly staff. It is just off 91 with easy access but quiet at the hotel itself with a forest view out our window. Great stay!

"Marriott" simply does not mean anything anymore. We spent more on this hotel to guarantee a good experience and Marriott did not deliver. The bed was horrendous. We asked to check other rooms and they were all the same. All old and sagging in when you lay on your back, your body folds into the beds. All of the pillows had a bunch of little cotton balls in them, and we're old. We asked for new/hard pillows and she said she could bring us some memory foam pillows, they brought us more of the same bad pillows. The paint was all chipping off the ceiling in the shower due to the high humidity after people shower because there is no fan in the bathroom. Also inconvenient to vent air out of the bathroom. Overall, the experience was absolutely not worth the money and we will never be back.

This hotel is quite nice in terms of cleanliness, space and comfort. However their night staff was not very professional - made quite some mistakes and provided wrong information.
