Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Orlando Near Universal Orlando Resort

Although staff were friendly, there is a homeless family, (also lovely people) living in a broken down black car with it's wheel falling off that's stopped seemingly right where they hit a pole. They are not passers by, this didn't happen yesterday, they are properly dug in with outdoor sleeping arrangements and it's obvious they've been there a while. When I asked the staff if they were ok, they pretended not to know about them and suggested, "well, they must have just got here, oh yeah, they are closer to best western so.....". Anything but acknowledging that this family is actively habituating their parking lot and parked in a lane of parking lot traffic from the back of the building. It’s a fair and very comfortable hotel..!Great location.., 15 minutes by foot from the hotel to the Universal City Walk.Free shuttle from the hotel to the Epic Universe..!American standard breakfast.Big room (King Suite).., no safe in the room.There’s a Burger King in front of the hotel.I’d stay again for sure..!!

This particular Marriott was perfectly located to Citi-Walk and Universal Studios, if interested. The staff is accommodating and quite friendly. The breakfast server was very busy but did a great job keeping everything clean and filled. (A tip-jar -finally - is available! I ask for this every visit because it is deserved and voluntary.) Some rooms are in need of a refreshing. SANDRO DE OLIVEIRA, front desk supervisor, was instrumental is assisting me with a FedEx delivery, shuttle assistance and direction navigation to several appointments that I needed to go to. He save me time, was quite helpful and very friendly. THANK YOU, SANDRO! AS ALWAYS, MARRIOTT DOES NOT RECYCLE! THE RECEPTACLES ARE AVAILABLE IN EACH ROOM BUT A FARCE. This hotel has definitely seen better days. The property feels old and rundown, and it’s clear that a full renovation is overdue. The elevators have an unpleasant smell, and the lobby furniture shows significant wear and tear. The rooms were musty and damp, and the carpet felt uncomfortable to walk on. The bathrooms offer very little counter space, which makes getting ready inconvenient. Breakfast left a lot to be desired as well. The only real positives are the free parking and complimentary transportation to the parks. Overall, the location perks are nice, but the hotel itself needs major improvements before I’d consider staying again.

I picked this hotel due to its closeness to the Universal Studio. The room was clean and cozy. The staff were friendly and courteous. They provided free shuttle to the Universal Studio and the Epic Universe as long as you signed up. The price of the hotel room was reasonable. They also provided basic continental breakfast for their guests.
