Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Downtown/Las Olas

This hotel was excellent in every way. From the welcome by the lovely Reception staff, the spotless accessible room and general areas to the perfect breakfast service. We chose this hotel for three nights prior to our cruise so that we could adjust to US time and for its proximity to the delights that Fort Lauderdale can offer. We were so pleased we did. Just a short walk to Las Olas Blvd and the river systems it made a perfect relaxed start to our vacation with an easy journey to the Port.|We booked a transfer to Miami airport from here on our return since we had a late connection and we’re welcomed by Jodi and the other Reception staff to rest in the hotel area where they guarded our suitcases so we could wander off and enjoy lunch at the nearby Cheesecake Factory ( excellent but huge po

My experience with GM Shonelle Boucher was horrible. I arrived in Miami Monday night and was stuck there until I could get my 2nd flight to Savannah. Due to the weather issues, all rooms were sold out so I made a reservation at this hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. I took a taxi which took 45 minutes due to traffic and arrived at 11:45pm at the hotel. The GM immediately was surprised when I gave her my name and presented my card and ID. She stated she had cancelled my reservation 15 mins ago because I didn’t have a valid payment on file. I asked why I didn’t receive a call, she stated there was no number on file with the reservation. A BOLD FACE LIE. Positive: The staff were so nice with accommodations. I needed a knife to cut a watermelon and they supplied it for us . They put my special milk in a refrigerator for me due to allergies. Negative: The only thing I would recommend would be a bar area.

Really stared to use this chain in the last 2 years. Great hotel and excellent value for money.rooms were spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was just right too. Kids enjoyed the small pool on floor 4. Definitely recommend for small city stays, especially if you are cruising from port Everglades.
