Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Detroit Lakes

Hotel location can’t be beat. Within walking distance to everything. Staff is nice. Nothing over the top. Pool is about the size of a hot tub. Rooms were clean. Unfortunately, walls were paper thin. We could hear the next rooms entire conversation especially at 2AM. Bed were decent. Terrible pillows.

Positive: "" Negative: The pillows were not good and someone tried to walk into the room at 8:45 am while we were still sleeping. Good thing we had the door latched.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, great breakfast! We had a quick overnight stay but enjoyed the location within walking distance along the water to Zorbaz and only a few minutes from Detroit Mountain where my some was racing his mountain bike. The service was friendly and would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Detroit Lakes! The location makes everything within walking distance: the city park, great restaurants, and wonderful shops and the mall on Washington Ave. The staff were kind, the breakfast was really good (and with plenty of warm and cold options), and our room was clean and comfy.

This is your standard Fairfield Inn. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and so is the entire hotel. The reason this hotel gets five stars is because of the staff and Ms. Shirley down in the breakfast area. You can count on her to tell you, good morning with a smile and help get you anything you need. She is the epitome of customer service. Everyone else that I dealt with in the hotel was very respectful and very prompt in their service.|There are several good restaurants within 100yrd of the hotel and it is a nice walk along the lake even in the winter time. The park area across the street is always decorated so beautifully. I highly recommend this hotel.
