Best Western Premier The Lodge on Lake Detroit

It's a nice hotel, very nice room and comfy beds. Bathroom was very nice, shower was big, no bathtub which didn't matter to us. Friendly front desk staff and a small bar and bistro with some food available. Minor complaints: In the winter, they have a nice fireplace in the lobby, but one of the nights we were there trying to just sit in front of it for a bit, another couple spent abiut 3 hours on the couch in front of it. More single seat for others to sit and enjoy without it being awkward would have been nice. The couple nights we stayed, there was hardly anyone else there, middle of week in February, but there were guests in the room right next to us who were talking and laughing incredibly loudly late into the night. Fun Up North MN themed decor. Tasteful and clean. Great staff. Wonderful sps - Massage was so relaxing and good. We went to see Thomas Dambo Trolls and the staff was chatting with us about them and the area.

Exceptional front desk service from Sam and Melissa; front desk, to Todd, supervisor of housekeeping, and Katelyn (great teamwork!) along with Levi. Beth was in charge of the breakfast bar and kept the food and beverages well supplied each morning with the greatest of poise and ease on a very busy weekend. I was impressed, as was my family. Thank you so much. We keep coming back each year. Not only for the superb service, but overall cleanliness and spectacular views of the lake!

Only spent one night here as we traveled through the area. Very nice hotel. The mattress was the best one we slept on during our trip. The room had a large bathroom, plus plenty of space in the room to spread out. Great views of the lake and sunset. It was nice hearing the loons but the hiway and train noise was in the background. I would definitely return, it was a very nice stay.

Excellent location right on the lake. Outdoor seating by the lake. Room was spacious and very clean. Restaurants within walking distance, but the lounge offers some bar food. Sam greeted us at the front desk and was quite helpful, he also tended bar later in the evening and did an excellent job. Overall a great experience.
