Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Deerfield Beach Boca Raton

As a Marriott Platinum Elite Member, place is run down. Room was not clean had other people's hair in the bathroom and in the corner of the bed. Bed sheets were yellow. Room service was on Wednesday only. When I asked for a upgrade I was told they don't have any clean rooms for me to stay in. AC is loud. Morning coffee was terrible. If I'm spending a few hundred bucks for a hotel room for a few days I expect better than a Hotel 8.

I had stayed here for a work trip and I had a very questionable time. I was on the first floor inbetween the lobby and one of the doors to the parking lot. One night I came to the hotel around 530 and left at 615 for dinner. I came back around 750 and noticed my door was open. The door would not close unless you turned the handle and pulled which I was very aware of doing since I noticed my first night it would stay open. I walked in to see all of my belongings were still there and I had a mac sitting on the bed. I went to the front to ask about the situation as I am a woman who was traveling alone. The man at the front desk was definitely nervous when I told him and spent 20 minutes looking at the camera but told me the camera didn’t point at my room. The card reader for the door also was

This stay did not live up to Marriott standards. The webpage hailed it as the newest hotel in Deerfield Beach. If that’s the case, Deerfield Beach has a problem. As best as I could determine it was at least 5 years old, probably older. There were zero USB ports and minimal lighting. No clock in the room. A minimum of electrical outlets. Air conditioner didn’t cool properly.||When we first checked in, we were given an already occupied room. Rather upsetting for both parties. We asked for an extra blanket. It was stained. Toilet was not clean. For a one-night stay, we tolerated it.||The “full” breakfast was a joke. Scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles were the choices. The bananas were green, oatmeal was undercooked, coffee choices were bold or decaf. Some bread and the like was available. No pot

Nice hotel and location for sure. But the rooms had a bit of a humid smell that went away once you turned on the AC. Otherwise they were fine. As for the hotel breakfast, it's pretty standard. I hate to nitpick but I really actually just noticed it after another guest pointed it out; the employee running the hotel breakfast always seems to pack it up ~10 minutes earlier than closing. And 20 minutes before closing, standard things like eggs have run out and not been replaced. Look, when breakfast ends at 9, that means that the food can start going away at 9. I wouldn't expect them to refill a tray of eggs at 8:59 am right before breakfast is over but I sure would expect it at 8:40.
