Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Charleston Downtown

Great service, nice staff. Everyone was very polite including other guests. Clean rooms. Towels were replenished during each day of stay. Complimentary continental-style breakfast in the AM. The only questionable trait was the inclusion of non-optional valet parking for every guest. Overall, great experience. Location is walkable as well, near hospital.

I wish that the Marriott app did not advertise this as a new property. They purchased an old hotel and quickly did some renovations, but it doesn’t smell or look like a new property, but rather a hastily flipped and dated hotel. Also, they forced you to valet, despite ample parking behind the hotel. This is not a four-star property, so why force people into paying for an amenity that this style of traveler does not want? I suppose this is a good location if you are someone you know are getting a procedure done across the street, but this is a really bad location for any other type of tourism. Not much within walking distance and limited public transit. Marriott should have built a hotel somewhere else instead of buying this antiquated property.

Positive: The hotel is very well located. It is currently undergoing a complete renovation and that was reflected in the price that we paid. Our room was excellent and the construction noise is the morning didn’t start until after 9 am. Negative: ""

We had a great experience staying at the Fairfield Inn in Charelston. We are not saying everything was perfect, but what is! However, when we did have an issue it was immediately and with the utmost professionalism. Unfortunately, I can not remember the name of the woman who checked us in, but she was delightful at check-in and throughout the entirety of our stay. There was also another woman who worked the front desk, Avianna, who was extremely kind and went above and beyond to assist our family when we had a personal problem. The staff at the Fairfield was all around amazing and why we will be staying at the Fairfield the next time we are in town

Came here with my dad The front desk lady Avionna was super awesome and gave us lots of information about the area. She also had tons of jokes for us which made our day so much better after losing my grandmother Avonna told us about some lovely places to dine in and eat. We will definitely be coming back to visit again
