Fair Winds in the Forest Cabins & Lodge

There should be a zero star. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO STAY THERE. I made reservations for 10 days to stay at cabin 6. The 10 day stay turned out to be over night stay. Upon arrival, there was a sticker on the refrigerator saying don't touch control and the refrigerator takes up 72 hrs to get to the coldest level. We packed so much food since it was our vacation for a week. We had no choice than putting our food in the refrigerator. Sat morning the food got warmer in the refrigerator. We couldn't put our other food on the kitchen counter since mouse was getting into it. There was mouse droppings on the oven mitts on the counter and in the dresser drawers in the bedrooms. We saw a mouse running inside the cabin. The bedroom has a moldy smell and both of out feet was totally black.

STAY AWAY!! Place is terrible along with terrible customer service. Cabin # 6 dirty, mouse turds every where, mouse in cabin, refrigerator doesn't get cold...poor wi-fi service, bedroom smelled moldy, floors are filthy.... owner behavior terrible..yelling at customers...calling them ass..bullying behavior

We (family of 4 stayed in cabin 1 )was a nice little home away from home) out side of it smelling like wet dog in the bigger bedroom and the smell of death under the porch (didn't spend much time there ) we had a good time my mom and grandmother and my oldest was in cabin 2 I didn't hear any complaints from them so I'm sure they had a good time aswell. Thank you for whatever upgrades yall did with the wifi the kids were happy over all that's why I give 3 star fix the death smell and the wet dog smell I would have gave yall a 5 star much love and hope to see you again in the future

Cabin 6 was a nice little cabin. We didn't expect anything extravagant so it worked for us. Pros: We had everything we needed and more as far as utensils and kitchen equipment. We were very impressed! The living room area was nice and cozy and the starter firewood was a nice touch. Aside from the beds, all the furniture and features looked fairly new. Cons: It was nice not to use it, but the wifi either just didn't work or the password given wasn't correct. The tv just turned on at random times. Very dim lighting and the beds had a cavern in the middle of them. Out of their control, but the power went off, which meant that the water pump stopped working. We ran out of water for a bit. Maybe just something to put in the welcome manual to warn people. Overall a nice quiet stay in a g

MOUSE RAN ACROSS THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR MOUSE GOT INTO THE CHIPS ONE ROOM SMELLED MOLDY WIFI DIDN'T WORK THE GIRL WHO CHECKED US IN WAD RUDE.. MOUSE DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE FLOORS ARE DIRTY VERY DISAPPOINTED
