Extended Stay America Suites- Orange County - Irvine Spectrum

I’ve been staying at Extended Stay America since Tuesday, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience. From the moment I arrived, the service has been excellent. The property is clean, comfortable, and exactly what you want when you need a place to stay for a few days or longer. What really made the difference during my stay was the manager, Anthony. He has been extremely professional, respectful, and helpful the entire time I’ve been here. It’s clear that he truly cares about the guests and about maintaining a welcoming environment. Anytime I had a question or needed assistance, he handled it quickly and with a great attitude. I checked in my room and it smelled like baby diapers. I went back to the desk to tell them and at the same time would not be staying a second night. I went back to the room and within 10 minutes they came to my door and ask me to leave bc they didn’t like my attitude. I was shocked! I am an 78 year old woman who was in town to see my grown grandchildren. The room did smell like dirty baby diapers. I would have just stayed one night. The most rude desk people I have ever encountered. I am a retired school teacher and old enough to know the dirty room and rude desk clerks. This has never happened to me before! They did refund my money after I had called the police to explain the situation. This should NEVER happen. I was on the second floor and a very nice couple help me get my things

Positive: For this price point, the hotel was more than acceptable. Front desk staff is helpful and hotel employee is always willing to work for a solution to any issues that come up. Onsite laundry is convenient. Will come again. Negative: The fixtures in the room could use an update. I didn’t have a hairdryer installed in the wall, but the front desk was able to provide one once I asked about it.

My stay at the Extended Stay near Irvine Spectrum was genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, offering all the essentials needed for a longer visit. I especially appreciated the in-room kitchen setup—it made day‑to‑day living convenient and easy, whether I needed to prepare a simple meal or just enjoy a quiet morning with coffee. The staff and services were consistently welcoming and attentive. Every interaction—from the front desk to housekeeping—felt warm and accommodating. It was clear that the team takes pride in creating a friendly, supportive environment for guests who are staying for more than just a night or two. The location was also a major highlight. Shitty extended stay. They call coffee a “breakfast” (when I checked in the associate said there was supposed to be oatmeal & muffins 6:30 - 9:30, I went at 8:50 & there was only coffee) , you get a minute of hot water in the shower then it goes lukewarm, then cold. The door hinges aren’t properly aligned so the doors don’t reliably close (I went out for the day & came back & I guess they went in for cleaning — though nothing was cleaned or trash changed — and the door opened without the keycard after I made sure it properly locked in the morning). You go to the desk & wait 10 minutes & can’t get any help. What a mess. Have stayed here twice (the above is a culmination of the two bad experiences), thought the first bad stay was crappy luck, it happens, oh well. I guess not just bad luck.
