Extended Stay America Select Suites- Gainesville

The hotel entrance off the main road can be hard to see at night if you arent familiar with the area. Be aware of people speeding to and from the car wash. My family and I are in the area for business. The hotel staff have been great communicators and kind. Our stay has been a month long. We have had only one time with no hot water for a shower during our stay. The laundry room is clean, you will need to download an app to use the machines. Its easy to set up and add money to, it also keeps track of the washer and dryer time. The hallways are mopped regularly and the elevator smells nice with the wall sprayer. We hope we have been good neighbors and thank you for welcoming us to Virginia.

My family and I came to this hotel last weekend and meet one of the most nicest worker by the name of Antoinette at the front desk. She greeted us with respect and a big smile on her face. She took care of us in a timely manner and she also gave us information about the area and suggested a few restaurants for my family and I to go have dinner at. I would recommend this hotel to any out of towner to stay here and to ask for the lady with the prettiest smile by the name of Ms Antoinette thanks for your hospitality again and be blessed.

Positive: The full refrigerator/ freezer, beds are comfortable and location. Also liked the security that you have to have a key to enter the building at ALL times. Negative: ""

I've stayed at a good number of ESA's through out the years. This is by far the worst. The front desk being barricaded be glass and a locked door does not project a welcoming vibe. Once past the security door (admittedly I do like) one gets the sence that it's just section 8 housing. Floors are sticky. Cobwebs in the corners. Heating/cooling unit sounds like a jet engine. No hot water last night when I went to take a shower after a 12hr shift. Tonight there appears to be a beagle across the hall with separation anxiety. I couldn't get the front desk to pickup on that one. It seems like ESA is just squeezing the last bit of profit out of this one before demolition. Stay somewhere else.

I certainly got what I paid for and some genuine extra friendly service! You can always tell if someone is just being nice to you because it's part of their job, or if they really mean it and Vicky at the front desk certainly meant it! Her big smile extended to her eyes and I felt so welcome and really glad I'd booked there! Thank you Vicky for making my day a great one! (And everyone at Gainesville ESA)! My room, hallway and elevator all smelled clean and fresh.
