Endion Station Inn by Heirloom Boutique Collection

Such a fantastic experience here. We stayed in room one, and the room was cleaner(!!) and more spacious than the photos online made it seem. We loved the view of the lake, the walkability to downtown, canal park and bentlyville. The room offered your Roku streaming services, bathroom essentials plus a hairdryer, all the towels you’d need, and a standing fan for comfortable sleeping. The separated entrances with different codes were really convenient and made me feel safe and secure. Overall, 10/10 stay and will be looking for this place first for availability my next vacation in Duluth.

The location is great - right on the lakewalk. We stayed in room #5, upstairs. It was spacious and clean, with cool antique decor. Nice bathroom. There were a few maintenance items that should be addressed - the shower light did not work, there was a hole in the wall from the door handle. These issues did not impact our stay too much. As noted in other reviews, the adjacent park (although beautiful) does attract overnight residents. We never felt unsafe, but the owners might consider a locked gate around the property and deck. It's very open, and people can walk right through the deck and sauna area, past ground floor windows.

Overall, I really enjoyed this stay! You can't beat the location for the price. We stayed in Room 2 and it was a way nicer than I expected based on the pictures. The main building also looks a lot less creepy than the photos (lol) but here's what you NEED to know if you're going to stay here: Parking is so, so convenient. We're talking 1 free pass right in front of the building with (paid) parking literally everywhere else if you're bringing a second vehicle. Location is 5 stars!!! Very walkable!! We walked up Superior Street to Duluth Trading Co, a very cute shop called Hucklebeary, Fitgers, and Portland Malt Shoppe, then all the way back to the inn. And do not miss Duluth's Best Bread!! This was a cool place to stay. I loved the history of the building (former train station), which has been renovated/updated, but with a rustic touch that makes this place very unique. There is also a large deck area with lights, tables, a fire pit, and a sauna! Beautiful views of Lake Superior and Duluth. Walking distance from dozens of great restaurants and shops in Canel Park.

I booked a room at the Endion Station Inn six months in advance directly through them (not a third party). A week before my stay, I noticed they hadn’t charged my card and reached out — after multiple calls and texts, I was told I had no reservation. I even got a cancellation email mid-call.||I was promised a call from the owner that never came. Management offered a $200 credit (declined), then said they’d cover what I would’ve paid toward another hotel. The only Canal Park options left were either awful or $500+ a night. They eventually found us a room 20 minutes away, but we still paid about $300 extra plus Uber and parking costs.||The place looks nice, but this experience — and what I’ve since heard about the area at night — left a very bad impression.
