Empire Canyon Lodge

I just planned and coordinated a wedding here at the Empire Canyon Lodge this past weekend and it was such an epic setting for my couple’s destination wedding. We got lucky with good weather for an outdoor ceremony on the new deck (the sun even made an appearance!), and being inside the lodge for the cocktail hour and reception while a snow storm was happening outside added something so special to the whole ambiance of the event. Megan and her team at the Deer Valley Resort were all amazing to work with to bring my clients’ dream vision to life! I hope to be back to plan another wedding or event here again soon!

I used to rave about the food here, but it has definitely gone downhill recently. Last visit I got the turkey chili and it was a smaller portion than they used to serve and it was barely warm when it was served which made it cold and disappointing for most of it. Today I had a bison burger with fries. The fries were cold and rock hard. The burger bun was hard and stale. I used to love this place but am probably done and will look for better options next time.

We helped decorate a wedding reception at the Empire Lodge and Cushing's Cabin. During this event, we worked with Natalie and associates with Life is a Party event planning services. The staff and coordinators at Life is a Party and also the staff at the lodge were very helpful and great to work with. It was a beautiful event with an amazing view. We'll post pictures soon. Empire Lodge is a superior deer valley property. Weddings, corporate retreats, apres ski in the winter. GREAT staff with excellent morale and a service heart.

Great mid-day lunch spot after a morning of skiing. The turkey chili is a must try and the service is exceptional. Easy to get to anywhere on the mountain. Empire lift can take you to some challenging runs, Ruby takes you to flagstaff mountain with some fun greens and trees, and red cloud to some green/blue cruisers.
