Emerald Forest Cabins & RV

So we paid their high prices to stay on one of their pop up sites. The next morning (Monday) it started to pour and the whole site was completely flooded. I called the lady at the desk and told her we were slipping in the mud and the water was up near our ankles. She said it was ok because they didn't have anyone coming that day. Mind you every site around us was completely empty. She told us we could stay until the rain quieted down a little and the site wasn't an ocean. It wasn't past 1 yet. They say if you aren't out by 1 they charge you for half a day. It wasn't 1 yet and a man on a four wheeler came to the site and made us pack up in the rain and leave. He said he had someone waiting on the site. I knew it was B.S. because all the sites were empty. Also, when we left there was no one

Positive: Loved the location, easy check in/out. Negative: Shower was a little hard to operate, hot water would turn to cold

My son and I love everything about this place! The cabin was cute, clean and welcoming. The bathroom is very clean and had a fantastic shower. There is even a kitchenette. They included coffee! The scenery is beautiful. Everything was perfect. A surprise for us was that they have a little quarter arcade! We loved it. The staff are also very friendly. There is a store at reception as well. This is fantastic for when you forget something, or just want to get an ice cream.

Radiant heated floor work wonderful. Updated Roku TV provided. Wifi was a bit slow but was easy to connect TV to my phones Hotspot. Bed is FIRM. Pillows were a mixture of firm and soft. Shower took a minute to warm up, and did not drain well. Adequate towels provided. Dog-friendly was great and there was plenty of room for 2 adults and 1 80lb Lab in the studio. Would stay again, thanks for making our New Years a little special.

I have camped and stayed in a cabin here and both experiences were amazing. The cabin was super clean and we loved staying under the tree canopy. Tons of old stumps to explore on the property and daydream about what it was like before they were cut down in the 1800s. Highly recommend.
