Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha La Vista Hotel & Conference Center

We stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha La Vista Hotel & Conference Center last night for my son’s 11th birthday and had a great experience. We actually only live about 2 miles away, but he’s already asking when we can stay again. The happy hour drinks and snacks were great, and the lobby was a nice space to hang out. The kids loved swimming, and you could really tell the staff is used to having kids around, which made everything easy. Breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and well kept, especially considering how many people stay there, and our room was clean. My only complaint — like most hotel rooms — was regulating the temperature. The friendly, efficient front desk staff during a busy check-in was the sole positive here.||Unfortunately, Room 420 was in appalling disrepair, desperately needing a full renovation that appears long overdue. Stained lampshades on every light, a damaged living room table lamp (the top and base were split), rust and chipped fixtures throughout the bathroom, a worn and unappealing bathtub floor, and a sink that drained so slowly it left standing water after minimal use. The location of this hotel is amazing, close to the interestate and major thoroughfares! However, the furniture in the rooms is very worn, hasn't been replaced in awhile, as you can tell by the sagging couch cushions, and frame! The floor in the bathroom was slippery even with the floor towel down, and absolutely no handles to hold onto! I was charged twice to park my car, and can't get anyone to help me reconcile that! And how am I paying to park with no added security, or valet! I paid 22 bucks to park my car in regular lot, this is because I was charged twice, but still it was advertised as 10! And instead of just adding it to the room, I had to use QR codes and add my card to another site! I have been a Hilton honors rewards member FOR YEARS! I will never stay at this hotel again,

Our recent stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton was overall pleasant and a solid value, but there were a couple of areas that kept it from being a full five-star experience. The biggest unexpected downside was the parking fee. In the past, parking has always been free, and there was no mention of the new charge prior to arrival. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. Our room was clean and comfortable, though it definitely showed its age.
