Elkotel, The Newest Hotel in Elko

I wish I could rate the service 10 stars. We got in late and Natasha at the front desk was WONDERFUL and incredibly helpful. It would not have been the stay that it was without her. The lobby is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, our room was spacious, and the breakfast was definitely appreciated before hitting the road again. The kids especially loved the waffle maker. There is coin operated laundry as well as a workout room. Thanks elkotel and Natasha for the hospitality! We would absolutely return.

We simply loved this place. It’s perfect for a family with furry friend and kids. They keep a deposit of $50 for pet fee which is returned during checkout. The rooms are neat and clean, the bathrooms are beautiful with a heating system, the plus is to have a hand shower along with the overhead shower. The staff is extremely friendly and helping. It is reasonably priced for the amenities it provides. It was a very comfortable stay. We will surely stay here next time we are driving over Elko.

You can tell the owner put a lot of money into it but I feel the owner is not near or does not know how to manage places. The shower and sink faucets were very corroded with hard water. The electric stove a great option . They DO NOT have any plates silverware or cooking utensils and is not properly vented so you WILL make the smoke alarm go off. The bed was pretty comfortable they offer plenty of pillows clean sheets but no actual blanket it is just a bed cover that felt like sand paper . The tv do not work the first night we had to power cycle the tv then ended up working . The continental breakfast offered waffles , bagels , toast , cereal , juices , milk , eggs and sausage . Pleasantly surprised! Clean room, comfortable bed, and good amenities. I was originally going to stay at a neighboring hotel but the price for one night + a pet fee ended up being double what a night stay at the Elkotel cost. They were more than accommodating and very pet friendly. Lots of good food options right across the street. Overall, I felt very safe and it was a comfortable stay. Would book again!!

The 2 times I have stayed there the rooms were great. Really clean, bed was comfortable, hot water for showers. I had to find a place to plug the coffee maker in but that was a minor problem. My problem was with the front desk. The people working it were nice but they disappeared after dark. Supposedly they are there 24/7 but I've gone to take my dog out various times later in the evening and early in the morning and there is no one at the desk. This trip I went down to ask for a blanket at 8:30 pm. knocked on the door behind the counter, walked into the kitchen area and no one was around. My mother in law went down an hour prior, same thing. She called the front desk several times and no one answered. That's a big security issue for me as well as lack of service.
