ELK CREEK CAMPGROUND

What an amazing staff! They made us feel right at home. We went on a long camping trip around CO & UT and this was our final stop. Couldn’t have asked for a better ending! The bathrooms are super clean, the camping sites are private enough and we loved waking up to the sound of the creek! The location is wonderful - close enough to hikes, civilization, etc., but far enough where you’re still having a classic camping experience. WiFi is available, if needed. If I could give 10 stars to the staff, I would! Thanks again for everything!

We loved our stay at Elk Creek campground and will definitely be back! We tent camped, and loved how the sections of the campground were separated into smaller “pods”, making it feel more private & peaceful even though holds quite a number of rvs etc.|The scenery and creek were beautiful…felt right “in” the mountains with lots of trees and foliage. The location was great- minutes from getting out and about the area - but felt like you were a million miles away!|The facilities were superb- super nice & clean bathrooms/showers, great little store for any essentials you may have forgotten, and friendly staff. The property was super clean & well kept in general.

I LOVE this campground! Chose because of the gorgeous nature pictures and being further from freeways than some of the other campgrounds in the area. I was blown away - the tent sites had a nice bark platform for the tents and a lot of room around them (easily would have been double the number of sites at other campgrounds). The campgrounds were well maintained with tons of trees, but also grass and flowers. The staff were so sweet. If you bought fire wood, they delivered it to your site. Melissa made sure when visiting the store/office that you were greeted by a friendly face and offered genuine conversation. The bathrooms were recently remodeled and just gorgeous with showers that had great water pressure and stayed hot. My family has done a lot of campground camping (usually Thousand Tr

5 star rating for great location and friendly staff. It is a very nice small campground. ***My complaint is their "airline type variable pricing model"!!*** Every night is a different price when calling the office or in person. MAKE YOUR RESERVATION ONLINE ONLY, WITH NO DESIGNATED SITE. ( your price will be set! ) Once there, they will juggle sites to accommodate you. It is a small campground with some very close sites, but has a very nice shower house / game room. Great, quiet location for visiting the area. I will stay again and recommend this park!

I recently stayed at Elk Creek Campground in Colorado for a couple of nights, and I absolutely loved it! The setting is gorgeous — surrounded by tall trees, a peaceful stream, and easy access to hiking trails. It feels tucked away in nature but still conveniently close to town, so we could even walk in for coffee in the morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The facilities are excellent — everything was clean and well-kept, with a nice new bathroom, laundry area, and a small shop with the essentials. This is definitely one of my favorite campgrounds I’ve stayed at. Perfect mix of comfort, nature, and great people. I can’t wait to come back!
