Element 29 Hotel

I want to start by saying that the skiing at Copper Mountain and The Village at Copper Mountain are both fantastic. As far as this particular Hotel, there were several things that kept us from enjoying our stay. We experienced very few people on the actual staff of the hotel...all behind the front desk. Only one of them were what I would call friendly. One was completely the opposite and quite frankly unfriendly and rude. There are signs in the lobby saying that no ski boots are allowed upstairs, yet I saw people walking into the elevator with them on every day we were here, and were heard clomping down the halls outside our room and from above each morning to be sure as well. We have always rented condos during our ski trips and we really enjoyed the hotel this time around. For those complaining about the price, condos are much more expensive in our experience and dated. We loved the location, the ability to store our skis was a huge benefit, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee. The shuttle comes by right in front of the hotel, which is super convenient. The bar was closed but there are several places to drink within a 2 min walk. The room was spacious and clean! We would def return.

This hotel is about location and not amenities or service. Bar was never open due to staffing, and housekeeping opened our door at 830 am the day of checkout without announcing (which happened to another couple who complained at checkout with little response). Rooms are decent and the fitness center is well appointed. Recommend if you are staying a day or two and spend most of the time skiing. Otherwise, the cost just isn't worth it compared to other lodging options at Copper.

Convenient access to the mountain and good gear rentals, but the hotel itself is a sub-Holiday Inn/2 star level experience. Only one bar of soap was provided for the entire bathroom (shared between shower and sink), shower fixtures were very loose and difficult to use, our room wasn’t cleaned even though we requested it early one morning, there are large holes in the bed frame furniture (I assume where lights could go), and the check out time cited by the front desk (10 AM) was different than the one I paid for on my reservation (11 AM). Stay here because you want access to the mountain, not because it’s a good hotel. The room prices are little high for the lack of quality on display; you’re paying for location.

If you are easy going, don’t need too much service, but want the convenience of a hotel with in walking distance to the slopes you will be pleased with this hotel. Melanie, management and all the other staff we interacted with were lovely. Large hot tubs, family friendly seating in the lobby and coffee in the am were all really nice. Minimal other amenities, but we brought everything, plus there are plenty of shops in Frisco if you need anything. Thanks element for a good weekend. Pray for snow.
