Economy Inn & Suites

stayed one night at Economy Inn & Suites (Nephi UT) on June 1–2, 2025. At around 3:30 AM, I woke up itching and found visible bite welts on my neck. I discovered a live bedbug in the bed and took photos. When I showed these to the staff, they claimed it couldn’t have happened in their room and would only consider a refund if I went to a hospital.||||This was not a medical emergency — it was a public health issue. I had to disinfect my bags and car and have been dealing with anxiety about potentially transporting the bugs. This place is not safe, and their denial makes it worse. Stay away.

The Manager/Owner even gave me a ride to the shuttle the next morning. They were very kind and happy and obviously enjoyed the business they worked. And the internet connection speed was great for anyone who works remotely and regularly has trouble with hotel internet this place

Here’s a longer, Google-appropriate review that clearly explains the situation and why it was a problem, without profanity: I stayed here for an extended stay of about 12 days, and overall it was a very disappointing experience. The internet is extremely slow and unreliable, making it frustrating for anything beyond basic browsing. If you need dependable internet for work or school, this is not the place. The rooms are extremely dated and honestly pretty gross. Everything feels old and worn out, from the furniture to the overall condition of the room. It does not feel well-maintained or properly updated, and cleanliness was questionable throughout the stay. One of the biggest issues was accessibility. I am handicapped and was traveling with my son. They do not offer a handicap-accessibl

The rooms are cheap when compared to prices at other hotels. After around 6pm, the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. The back door to the hotel does not even lock shut, so anyone could enter. Their pool is out of service as well. Then at 10am on the day of check out, the employees banged on our door, startling my grandmother. Check out is not even until 11. The only thing good about this hotel, is the price (pay for what you get) and the location. It's located between arbys and wendys with 2 gas stations close by. The hotel used to be nicer when we came here last in 2018. It's definatly taken a hit since then. Not sure if I'm ever going to come back here.

Customer service is fantastic here. Actually had a few things shipped to me while I was traveling and they made sure I received the packages. Trustworthy staff. Rooms are clean, they have a laundry machine, no free breakfast but AM coffee in the lobby. Stayed at Safari and this is definitely better. But heads up ask for the wifi password at the front desk( they dont have wifi password in room, only complaint)
