Econo Lodge Tallahassee Downtown - University

Very pleasantly surprised. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient. The shower was awesome! Staff (Raj) was very nice and helpful. It may not be a fancy hotel, but I will definitely stay here again.

Everything was great except the toilet flapper leaked and toilet would refill ever so often. Room was great upgraded though dark. Best Econo Lodge we have stayed in.

I've had some experience with this hotel and was pleasantly surprised to see all the upgrades on this visit. The rooms have been completed renovated and modernized to include laminate wood floors, granite-like bathrooms including a rain showerhead, and new bedding.||The amenities are basic. No lavish breakfast buffet but instead fresh bagels, sweet pastries, coffee, and juice. ||The hotel is situated within walking distance of shopping, a few restaurants, and a city park.||The husband and wife owners live on-site and are attentive to every need. ||My stay was 4 weeks and I felt more like a friend or family rather than the average guest. They went so far as to make sure I had the plain bagels I like. When it was time to checkout, I was given a ride to catch my connection to Jacksonville. ||

EconoLodge is not a hotel brand that I frequent, but I booked it because of a last minute trip and limited availability in town. It is in a good location relative to downtown Tallahassee and FSU. For its price point, this hotel was pleasant. The interior finishes had clearly been renovated. The toilet was running off and on for most of the night, which was a bit of a nuisance. I spoke with the manager about it before I left because it appears to be a relatively easy and inexpensive repair.

Very close to the Market Days venue, that we are vendors at. Easy check in and out. Nicely updated, and clean room. Nice big walk in shower. Will definitely book here next year for our show.
