Econo Lodge Meadowlands

For what we needed it for (a place to sleep, close to public transit) the room was fine. We came to NYC region for an art exhibit and to see some shows, so basically all we did was sleep in the room. Lighting in the room was poor, the toilet was a little wonky and the wi-fi was spotty, but it didn't really adversely affect our experience. ||||Beds were comfortable, shower was hot. ||||We liked that we could get on the NJ Transit bus just a short way down to the road and be in Manhattan in 10 minutes!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! For your own good, DO NOT GO THERE! The receptionist was extremely rude to us and was looking to make problems. And the room was NASTY!! We had a confirmed reservation for the suite with a fire place and hot tub confirmed by Super 8 and by Wyndham. It was written clearly on the confirmation Email we received from the hotel. And it was confirmed twice over the phone, when we made the reservation. When we got to the hotel the receptionist gave us a tiny, dirty room without the amenities we were promised. When we showed him the email, he backed out and said that if we want to get the room we reserved we have have to pay an extra $100 more then the confirmed price, plus pay for the other room we didn't ask for. More then 3 times the amount agreed on in the original confirm

The worst experience. Bathroom dirty,housekeeper having coffee in one of rooms. BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED LIKE IT SAYS ON THE PROMO. NO LIGHT IN ROOM. NO CLOSET TO HANG CLOTHES.||REGARDLESS of how much you pay for a hotel where is $50 or 250. The room should always been clean. This hotel is not worth it. The other hotel which im not mentioning name has a 2.5 rating. They treat you with much respect than this place... ||With the World Cup coming up. They need to get it together or they not going to be in business to long. I would not recommend unless is the only place you can find ||Owners of this place need to learn about customer service and advertising. If you no longer give free breakfast. TheN take it OUT OF ADVERTISING. ITS CALLED FALSE ADVERTISING.

No coffee makers in room, no HDTV and cable was out the first 5 hours we were there, no breakfast items of any kind. Accommodations did not match room description on booking website. Management was apologetic but did not rectify.

For a 2 star property, it's ok. Fair size rooms, ok bed quality but cleanliness could use a boost. Staff is decent and helpful.
