Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Granite City - St. Louis

My wife and I come here every month for three years now it's a great escape to just chill and enjoy yourself, relax get some quiet time. The service is outstanding. The complimentary breakfast is awesome. Hot eggs biscuits and gravy waffle maker. I can't express how grateful I am to escape the hustle and bustle of the world and come here.

It was just ok. Clean, yes, and bug free. The room we were in was pretty run down, the beds were sink-to-the-middle soft. We had to leave early so we didn't try the breakfast. The man who checked me out asked if our stay was "acceptable". Interesting choice of words. Yes. It was acceptable.

All this hotel has going for it is the friendly staff. Unidentifiable black substance dried and smeared on wall. Room heater squealed like a bad fan belt. Tiles on bathroom floor broken and cracked. Room looked nothing like the advertised photos. Breakfast was nasty. Brown orange juice. Biscuits and gravy were grey water with pepper and the Biscuits were kept in a steam warmer, so soggy. The scrabble eggs were unrecognizable as eggs and swimming in grease.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here it was very clean and nice kept. Staff were very helpful and nice. No bugs which is very nice compared to the other hotels in Granite city. Dog friendly and child friendly would recommend 10/10!! If your a family and looking for a place to stay i would choose the Econo lodge.

Booking was easy on the app, hotel outside area was well lit, the side access doors required a key to get in, the front desk and housekeeping were all very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean.
