Econo Lodge Elkridge near Arundel Mills

While I enjoyed the quiet and hot water, there were some issues I had. There was shattered car glass in the parking spaces. The breakfast and coffee for the complimentary breakfast is advertised but was not operational. They could have at least added coffee pots or instant coffee in the rooms but they did not. My room has a bathroom door that's very chipped and the some of the tile is cracked. The internet wifi connection drops often and the TV doesn't connect to most regular channels. I will say I enjoyed the beds and hot water. The mattress was comfortable. However I didn't appreciate asking for a non smoking room and then finding bed sheets with burn holes and tears in them. Please have your housekeepers throw away sheets if they have holes in them. Additionally the female housekeepers

The area was fine, though the room smelled so horribly of smoke it was hard to breathe. Missing a hair dryer and smoke alarm. The bed was covered in hair, like it was kind of gross. The cats REALLY liked the smell of the floor around the beds, which isn’t really a good sign for sanitation purposes. Some pros: it is pet friendly, and it had rooms where the other hotels around were all booked. I’m grateful they had a room in our time of need, but they really need to crack down on their cleaning policies.

Positive: Nothing Negative: It smelled of smoke. Very dated in decor. The remote control was dirt and only held together by tape.

I stayed 30 minutes and left! The first room I got smelled of smoke horribly so I requested another room which they gave me which was non-smoking, but it still smelled the smoke. I could not get the stench out of my naturals. I was when I walked in the room. I was greeted by a wasp. I was extremely concerned of bedbugs. It wasn’t the cleanest area. I’m assuming the people who lived at the hotel they aren’t the most savory kind of people. It definitely gave the appearance of a place where “services” Could be rendered. I would not stay there

There were rats all over the parking lot running around and almost ran into our room. The location is fine but the rats make the place look unsanitary and not safe.
