Drummer Boy Camping Resort

This was my second stay and I really enjoy this campground. My first stay (last year) was 3 days, this year was 4 days. My kids love the pool here. It's great for all ages. The cabins are nice, simple, and always clean. They utilize the space well. Unfortunately the AC in our cabin did not work well this year and there were no ceiling fans in the bedrooms so sleep was difficult. Our family was also looking forward to fishing this year at the pond but it was covered in algae. It was so frustrating trying to fish and constantly having to pick sludge off the fishing line and hooks. However, we did manage to catch bass, bluegill, and a catfish- so it was still memorable. Despite these 2 issues, it was a great trip and we do plan to go back again. The atmosphere of this campground is welcoming,

Nice enough campground, but could definitely use some improvements. It's quite large, I got lost walking one night. Lots of seasonals, so parts of it are cluttered from too much junk. Pool was closed for the season, so I can't speak to that, but the bathrooms by the office were dirty and smell musty. They have golf carts to rent, there is a game room, and also a small mini golf course. Office staff was friendly. It was quiet when we went, but most of the seasonals were gone since it was late September. I could see how it could potentially be loud during the summer because of the multitudes of RVs that are packed in close together. Site itself was pretty small. We had no room to put up our hammocks.

I had left diamond earrings in our cabin. I called and spoke with Julie. Not only did she find them, but she literally went the extra miles to bring them to my home! Kudos to Drummer Boy for hiring such an extraordinary girl like Julie!!! Thank you so much again, Julie!!

The campground was nice. We went in the fall so the pools were closed but the trees were turning colors so it was pretty. The cabins were clean and had things we needed to cook. Only downfall was you can hear traffic noise.

Fall camping at Drummer Boy is a must. We just enjoy hanging at the campground. As large as it is, it is always quiet. And, in comparison, it's still not as expensive as some places and we enjoy the "non-corporate" mentality, even though you may have to deal with Thousand Trails and/or Encore for reServations.
