Downbeach Inn

Our stay was last minute so I booked there because it was cheap and available. Never again. I had to pay for parking in a tiny little lot. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was mold everywhere. The room felt dirty like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It’s a very sketchy place. I was worried about my car being broken into because it was the nicest one in the lot that night. There’s a room on the bottom floor with a note on the window saying do not knock the person you’re looking for isn’t here. We slept and checked out as soon as we woke up.

We stayed at this "hotel" luckily for 1 night only. Payed 200$. The smell in the room was nauseating. Everything: doors, walls, carpet, curtains, furniture, amenities were extremely old, cracked, rusted, stained.. The carpet was sticky. The glass in the microwave door was broken, which potentially poses safety concern. Bathroom door was missing a handle and did not close. Multiple long black hairs on the pillow (about a dozen). Electric outlets broken in the bathroom. My question is how the owner even dares to offer this to people?. This should never cost 200$! Best ever price is 50$ - no more. The manager refused to let us leave the car at the parking lot for a couple hours in the morning unless we pay 15$ fee (regardless that parking lot was completely empty).

This place was absolutely horrible. Before I even arrived they began to call me and ask me what my ETA was. Once I arrived I was handed my key card and I asked if where I parked at was ok and they stated it was fine. I then began to head out for the night. Around 11:30pm I received a call from the hotel stating I needed to move my car due to the parking spot already being given to someone. I stated that I was already out for the night and that I could not move it at the moment. They continued to say we needed to move our car. We ended up having to pay 40$ for parking. On top of the inconvenience of having to pay more money. The water pressure in the shower was terrible along with only either getting boiling hot water or freezing water. There was also burn holes in my sheets there was a hug

Absolutely horrid. From walking in the room with the horrid smell of cigarettes to the holes in the bathroom walls. The blankets were not washed the pillows were dirty. The fridge was on its last leg the chair in the room was ripped up and looked like they picked it from the trash. Out of the 3 lights in the room only one turned on. The “company” around the building was not great I watched a few drug deals go down. It truly looked like we walked into a trap house with a made bed. Worked for the night as we needed but certainly never again. I recommend NOT bringing your children here.

Easily the worst motel I've every experienced. We arrived to no light bulbs in any of the light fixtures; no towels; absurd cigarette smell in a non-smoking room; and graffiti on the inside of the room. We left immediately; asking for a refund. They would n not grant a refund; only a change in date. We will not be going back here. You could say the location is great; but every other place in the area is the same price; especially in the off season. Do not go here. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE.
