DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando Downtown

I really had an enjoyable stay at the Doubletree Downtown Orlando. The location was great, easy access to I-4. There were several boutiques and restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. |We were greeted by Candice at the front desk. She welcomed us to the hotel and sent me a follow up text message shortly after I checked in to see if I needed anything. She also checked on me the following day to see how my stay was. When I arrived at my room, I was pleasantly surprised that we had been upgraded to a corner suite on the 9th floor. |Also, talked to Jennifer at Starbucks who was extremely personable. We had a great conversation about our Thanksgiving holiday plans.|Our hotel room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the extra room in our suite was appreciated.|Thank you, S

Short version: If you care at all about your wellbeing, DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT THIS PLACE !! This place is just waiting for a lawsuit. It should be shut down. I am shocked how this is allowed to operate by the city! Long version: I ended up here through a series of unfortunate events. I was booking last minute and didn't check the ratings too carefully. As you can see from the images and videos, the hotel and the rooms were extremely dirty!!! There were BUGS EVERYWHERE. On the countertops, near the bed, on the floor, etc. The rooms were so dirty that it is hard to put in words. At night it got cold so I turned on the heat and the room got filled with chemical fumes. When I complained they said it is very old and is expected!! I preferred to be cold than causing more serious health issues.

Much appreciation to Kaila and Pri in the exec offices, and especially to An, Tim, Jose, Sandra and Jackie on the food service side for yet another great IPRRC.org. It’s about 8 years since we came to Orlando for our annual conference, with about 125 attendees. Though Kaila and Pri are new to the team, An and the others have been with us from the beginning. Unceasingly helpful, courteous and enthusiastic, they help to make our conference wonderful. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable— certainly all would say it’s about ready for a refresh, but the pricing is wonderful (academics don’t do the work of educating the next generations for the pay, lol) and we appreciate the excellent experience that the Doubletree offers us, year after year. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Positive: I didn’t really have to leave for anything Negative: My hotel room was hot ac did not work well I was in the 12th floor

This was a great hotel for my overnight stay in town. The hotel is strategically located very close to nice restaurants / bars and next to the motorway exit. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The three ladies at the reception were amazing storing my luggage and allowing me to use the facilities of the hotel for a couple of hours after my checking out. The service at the bar by Jackie excellent too. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place.
