DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Fort Lee - George Washington Bridge

A satisfactory hotel, both outdated and newly renovated depending on the area of hotel you are assigned for your stay. Nothing special, but suitable for something cheap just outside the city. The reason for two stars is the service. An extremely rude front-desk check-in scenario started a trip off on a sour note. I think it is important to note that we are Hilton Lifetime Diamond members, and this is the first negative review I have ever written. Long story short, the connecting rooms we reserved well in advance were not available when we arrived at 5:30pm, but we were NOT told that upon check-in. So, with keys in hand, we arrived to the rooms to realize we were given something other than what we reserved. So, we returned to the desk, where we were told they did not have connecting rooms,

After reading all the reviews. It was actually better than expected. The room was clean, bathroom was clean, restaurant food was good, service was great. We arrived early before check in and the hotel driver was nice enough to take us to the bus stop. Hotel is right off the highway. Convenient, no complaints. They were doing renovations we got a renovated room so everything was perfect. Will stay again

This hotel offers a very convenient location, especially for those driving. It's situated right off the highway, making it incredibly easy to access. A heads-up for other travelers: this prime location does mean you can encounter some traffic noise during peak hours, but it's a fair trade-off for the easy access.The service was consistently nice and helpful throughout my stay.Overall, it was a functional stay with a great location.

Stayed here with my cousin and boyfriend due to her visiting us during a difficult time in our lives (my mother’s life was taken and I we were grieving) What was advertised is incorrect. No cookies, no pool, and didnt know they were doing construction until we checked in. The service was horrible. We tried to extend our stay for one more night so we can stay with family a little longer, but they gave us a hard time. Wont be ever coming back if service is horrible.

Their famous DoubleTree cookies are breaking their backs holding up this otherwise dated and very tired hotel. I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years to visit family that lives close-by. My most recent stay in their ~$500/night "presidential" "suite" and the lack of follow-up from their management after contacting them about it was my last straw with this hotel. A truly upsetting experience from start to finish. I was given a Digital Key, which was good, but entering what looked like a regular 1-bed King-sized room (attached) was a huge surprise. The room itself was extremely worn. Peeling paint in the (cramped) bathroom and gashes on the connecting door (attached) are unfortunate, but understandable, blemishes for a $150/nt reservation, but unacceptable in what's supp
