Dora Belle Campground

Decent campground. Not a ton of info out there on what the sites look like. Some are definitely bigger and better than others. Some sites are really close to each other and are positioned to have a lot of traffic But other than that its nice overall. Our bathroom was very clean and well maintained. There's a small town with mini marts and local eats walking distance from the sites. This campground has walking paths down to the lake which is nice because there's only 3-4 other ways down to the water which you have to pay to get in. Overall 4 stars. Probably not an annual camping spot but its nice enough to try out.

So nice, everyone was great (shout out to my brother Dylan!) ! The lake was such a nice place to swim and the very close little town was great!! The campsite were clean, big and surrounded by beautiful trees!!

What a different experience we had this year camping at Dorabelle Campground. They have new camp hosts and they are awesome! So friendly and helpful! Just what a host should be. The campgrounds are tidied up and raked before the next campers arrive. The restrooms, although pit toilets, are kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper. There is plenty of wood to burn - I would suggest bringing a hatchet or axe to cut into more manageable sizes for the campfire. The beach area at the lake is an easy walking distance from any of the campsites, although the return trip is all uphill. Still, very doable. The beach is mostly used by campers, so it doesn't get overcrowded. Our neighbors in the campground were very respectful of their neighbors - music was turned off by 10 pm. If you h

Overall, the campgrounds and those working there were great! The lake was beautiful and our spot was in an enjoyable area. Highly recommend. Book as soon as you can.

Dora belle is beautiful!!!! We were at site 34 and had ample shade and privacy. Close to the bathroom and 2 min walk to the lake. The hosts are wonderful kind and helpful, giving advice on local things to do and where to go. The bathrooms are kept really clean (considering they're not flush toilets) it's a little frustrating that the day users seem to trash the bathroom as they don't have to use it over a long period of time. Hilly roads so it's fun with kids scooters/bikes. The lake is stunning. So quiet and peaceful all round. Plenty of wood piles to gather for a good bonfire.
