Dixon's Campgrounds

Our experience here was wonderful. The staff were very nice and helpful. Our campsite was a little small but plenty of room for 2 small tents and our van. We had one of the better campsites that wasn't as close to others. However, all the guests here were quiet, nice, respectful, calm, making for a perfect stay. Most guests seemed to be nice families. They have entrance and exit gates, and a key card is required to enter. The bathroom facilities were the best I've ever seen/used. They seem to be new and were very well maintained. The campground is a short 5 or 10-minute drive to the beaches, so it is just far enough away to be scenic and close enough to have a fun vacation. I highly recommend Dixon's!

We have been stying with Dixons for 20+ years. The grounds are always clean and quiet hours are just that. The pool is warm and the people friendly. Recently went for a family trip and we were just so happy with how accommodating they were for our larger size group and multiple campsites! Dixons is an amazing family campground!!

Dixon's is a lovely family campground in the best tradition, offering camping, swimming and activities throughout the season. We were very happy to perform and book music for the summer series over the past two years and look forward to doing it again in '26!

1st off look at how many reviews I've written. We chose Dixon's because of the price. You get what you pay for. Every other day we got an email from them saying they will take out balance due at 10am on the morning of our check in. Even though check in wasn't until 12 noon. 6 emails in total. When we arrived we pulled into their office parking space. It was barely big enough for our 30 ft motorhome pulling a Jeep. After we went in and checked in at the office, we then had to disconnect the Jeep pull back out onto the road turn around and pull back in to face into their entry gate. Not one email mentioned that. One of the employees guided us to our campsite in his golf court. I was following their 5 mph speed limit in the park and cannot keep up with him. He then was guiding me back into

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our site and the maintenance person helped guide us in. The facilities were clean. The sites in the immediate vicinity of ours were extremely tight. The very large RV next to us had a slide-out that was less than 8 feet from our picnic table. We were reluctant to use our fire ring for fear of melting their siding. We were also right next to the dump station and dumpsters. When the wind was right, we were gifted with some pretty pungent aromas. We could not open our windows because of the smell one of the days. I would recommend that site #42 was eliminated to make the other sites a little larger. A refundable $10 deposit is required for a key card for the gate.
