2 River Road Inn & Cottages

Such a sweet place to stay! I was greeted by the innkeeper and her beautiful, very friendly dog, which immediately made me feel right at home. When entering the inn, you go through the main door, which has a plastic wind shield on it. It made getting in and out with luggage a little tricky, but it wasn’t a big issue and is completely understandable for Maine weather. My room was perfect. The extra amenities they provide were more than I expected, and everything—from the colors in the room to the overall cleanliness—was wonderful. The continental breakfast felt like something you’d have while staying with family. It was exactly what I needed. Thank you to Nora for such a warm and welcoming stay!

Great property with cute cabins. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and their dog River is an absolute sweetheart. I stayed in #8 and it was nice and clean. Sitting on the porch was nice. Breakfast was simple but good and plenty to choose from. I did not notice traffic noise. Conveniently located to see things around the area and close to a general store. I bought some of Phyllis’s original rock art on display in the breakfast room and it hangs in my living room! Overall a great stay and wish I could have stayed longer!

We absolutely love 2 River Road Inn & Cottages! We've been back 3 years in a row now in October! The Inn Keeper Nora was so accommodating! They were supposed to close down early for the winter season but kindly allowed us to stay when they planned to be closed for the season. We were so happy they allowed us to stay, and went above and beyond for that! The cottages are so quaint and cute, always super clean and have more than enough in the kitchenette area to make for a comfortable stay. The woods behind the cottages are nice for a small walk as well. The location is always so perfect too... quick 10 minute drive into Ogunquit or Cape Neddick area. I'm real sensitive to hotel rooms not being super clean but the cabin we stayed in #8 was very clean. The cleanest I have ever encountered from Maine to NY. So a big thanks to the cleaner for doing a great job.||We were there basically at night. I barely heard cars passing on rte 1. I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening, much better then sitting in a stuffy motel room. The room is perfect for two people. There is a refrigerator and some toiletries left for your use. Maybe one more table for another suitcase, but that is just my preference. ||The surrounding area around the cabins are well maintained and full of flowers, benches, the swimming pool and outdoor spaces which adds to the relaxing feeling of being on vacation. Lovely cottage (#5) , welcoming hosts (including an adorable Labrador named River), beautiful, sweet and charming property throughout! I visited on my own and the hosts called me after I made my reservation to confirm and recommend an even better cottage for the same price! ||The cottage was clean and tiny, perfect for my solo trip! I enjoyed the free breakfast and sat at the gazebo every morning. The location was great and I didn’t notice any loud road noise others have described.||I even bought some of Phyllis’s pebble art! I would be happy to recommend and stay again!
