Diplomat Suites

Took me a few days to gather myself from the terrible experience I had at the diplomat suite. My poor host was great! Room was absolutely beautiful. I have rented off them before. Location is truly amazing. So convenient especially when traveling with little kids. Additional parking up the street. Located at the middle pier. Perfect which is why I chose this for my son’s 2nd birthday party.|I was pretty much ran out of there my last night after a long 7 hour day at the beach with family. With 3 kids under 7. Definitely was not safe after all the packing and putting together this birthday for my son. Our family came from all over for me to share a bit of my childhood with them. If you are looking to have a good time and enjoy yourself this is NOT the place. HOA ran, our experience was terrible. They complained about everything possible even water on the ground. Ppl claiming to be the board about 8 of them stood in my doorway for hours to intimidate me my wife and my children. Then they surrounded my vehicle talking about us while we packed and left. The room wasn't worth the experience. We paid well over $1,000 to get targeted from air bnb for 4 days. I would never and will never go back. They made my vacation that we planned for over a year absolutely terrible. August 2024. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY DOLLAR AMOUNT.

I stayed at the Diplomat for 2 weeks. I will say this, the location is awesome. A few blocks from the boardwalk, Wawa and restaurants. The pool is great and a nice size. Unfortunately the Diplomat is not kept tidy. The pool area was always dirty, the tables and chairs never clean. Garbage was all over the place. Whoever their maintenance person is definitely didn't do their job. The unit I stayed in 202 is completely outdated!! The pullout sofa is horrific and you cannot sleep on it or sit on the sofa for too long. It's so old. I had to purchase an inflatable mattress at Walmart for My 2 week stay which was a huge inconvenience. The refrigerator is also extremely old and noisy. TV has like 8 channels and the bathroom is also completely outdated. The unit desperately needs work done and a n

EDIT: This was originally a 1 star review, but after a great talk with the building owner I've changed it to a 4. Building staff is very friendly, under new management, and focused on keeping things clean and nice. The pool deck and lobby reflect this well. The problems listed below are due to Island Reality's cleaning team (or lack of one apparently) and the condo owners. Rooms look like they were last remodeled in the mid 80s, and last cleaned months ago. The room was absolutely filthy on the inside. Dirt and dust everywhere, bathroom is in desperate need of a good cleaning, the appliances weren't even plugged in, the carpets look old and ragged, and the entire place smelled of mildew and water damage. Great spot to stay in Wildwood. Location can't be beat, only a block and a half from the boardwalk and beach. The area is packed with restaurants and nightlife. Room was perfect size for our group (only 3 people). Not sure if all rooms are the same size or not. There is a pool on a 2nd floor deck with a couple grills. Definitely would recommend using this spot for a trip down the shore
