Desoto Motel

Living in Treasure Island, I needed some quality 'rest", and stayed two nights. The new owners are working hard to upgrade the units after the hurricanes, and their sincere goals will exceed guest expectations, when they finish. Kudos to this family.

The room we stayed in was very clean, had no issues. The tv worked well. For the low price we paid and that someone was available at 3am I was satisfied. If you need to dry your hair bring your own hair dryer.

Inexpensive, friendly, safe... The a/c was colder than cold and the hot water in the shower was hotter than hot. The owners are very pleasant. The rooms are clean. For an inexpensive weekend exploring the Peace River this is the place to stay!!!!! We stay here EVERY single time we go to Peace River. It's nothing fancy but we love it & love the owners!!!!!

Terrible! Called to make a reservation but the reservationist could barely speak English and there was "screaming" in the background. Reservationist told me that a manager would call me back with a confirmation number. They never did call. I called again and got an answering machine. Left a message for a call back but I never heard from them??? Don't waste your time. Very poor operation. Instead, use the Knights Inn in Arcadia. Actually, don't use the Knights Inn. We stayed there and it was horrible. Total dump!

For the bargain price of the room, we did not expect much. However the room we had was spacious, clean, well furnished and comfortable. In other motels across Florida we paid sometimes 3 times as much for a room like this. We travel by bicycle so a good bed as in this motel is important to us.
