If you come from the north, there are 4 significant water crossings. Coming from the south there are 2. EDIT: added photos of the two largest water crossings. I did them on my own on a motorcycle, but would be tough in any non-4-wheel drive car.

This place has really gone down hill. Many of the sites are overgrown and neglected. The vault toilets are "decommissioned," so be aware of that. Because of the location between a canyon wall and a stream, there's not a lot of good choices for a cat hole. I arrived on a Thursday in early October and took the one spot that still looked good. There was nobody else there. I stayed for two nights and twice campers came through and left because there just aren't very good spots. The campground has tables, fire pits and vault toilets all near the creak. We prefer to travel further up the canyon to the desolate areas along the creak. Remember, if you take it in take it out!! Keep it clean so we may all continue to enjoy it for years to come!

Couldn't make it to campground in my van. High clearance vehicle should be used because of rocks in dirt roadway. First creek crossing before campground is not a crossing but the creek itself. 150 feet of the creek flowing down the road. These photos and video taken Mid August.

Very secluded and peaceful. You'll need a truck if you come from the east side of the canyon
