Denver West / Central City KOA Holiday

Overall the Campground was fine. Until the morning we were scheduled to leave. My wife and I were out late, so we intended on sleeping in the next morning. Until I was awaken by helicopters flying over our RV.|When I contacted the office, I was told that they were working on a gondola, and that it was reported in the local newspaper all week. ||As I do not read the newspaper nor do I live in the area and was just visiting, I had no idea. ||When I had suggested to the owner Chuck Spencer that the campers should have been notified of this obvious noise interruption, he told me "why don't you pack up and go home ". ||The reason why I felt this was so egregious was because this was not just an employee that didn't know better, but the actual owner of the campground! ||I own multiple businesses

Very nice KOA campground! Staff has been very healthful and take care of issues immediately! We appreciated the guidance when we arrived. The gentleman helped us backing our motorhome up into the space. The only issue is we were parked next to the tent area. Loud people disrupted the silence we were hoping for. Pizza is pretty good! It was delivered right to our door! The wings…meh. We will definitely be back when in Colorado.

The staff, location and sites are wonderful. There are two hot tubs, a play area, a well stocked store, many of the sites have beautiful views and it's far away enough from the main road so it's quiet at night. Staff member Wayne was really helpful in answering questions about the KOA and things to do in the surrounding area. Oh, and pizza, wings and firewood are all available for delivery to your website. This was one of our favorite stops on a two month RV trip this last summer in 2025.

The Central City/Denver West KOA is awesome! The staff are fun, friendly, professional, and always ready to assist you. The laundry room is the absolute cleanest and most modern, and with 7 washers and dryers, one of the largest that I have seen in my travels (and we have been to all 48 lower states and Canada). They deliver firewood, and their store has pretty much anything you might need. The showers/bathrooms are super clean, climate regulated, and bright. There are 2 hot tubs, a playground, and a dog park. On our way out, we used their free air compressor to ensure that our tires were inflated properly for the cold mountain air. Great KOA with great tent sites (get site T6 if you can!). It's at nearly 9000 feet of elevation, so it's a lot cooler temp-wise than you expect - also no bugs of note (middle of August)! We were able to drive to Boulder from here with great views there and back. I would stay here again. Also the staff were great! And the hot tubs were a nice touch!
