This was the first stop of our long roadtrip with our camper and I’m so glad! It is right outside the Deleware Water Gap NP. It is a little tricky to get to, they give directions and we of course didn’t follow them so that’s our own fault haha. However pulling into the campground there is a steep decline and we did drag our weight distribution hitch quite a bit. That’s never happened anywhere so we were surprised. The woman at the front desk was absolutely lovely to chat with and the campground itself is really nice. We had a great pull through spot and walked over to the playground to play. The equipment is older but it’s fine. We loved the guinea hen and turkey hanging around that really made the experience unique. We would absolutely come back!

Crowded sites in an ambience that looked like it hasn’t been maintained in 15 years. Narrow sites in a confusing pattern of entry/exit with no obvious signage. Muddy and gravel roads with no obvious areas to walk a dog without being in a road. No noticeable poop bag collection sites. Pool, games, etc looked like that hadn’t been replaced for a long while. It’s obviously a KOA dependent on local, family permanent sites.||Biggest problem if you are towing the sites don’t accommodate a rig plus a tow. Our truck had to be disengaged, driven to a lot away from the site because the roads are narrow and hilly. To reengage we had to find a level site ( they have no designated area for either procedure). Our site had a picnic table but not fire pit. ||Positives |site was level and had sufficie

We have been camping at different locations for over eleven years, we've always had good customer service from every campground we've been to, but I have to say that the office staff here goes above and beyond. They were more than happy to accommodate a request that we had that was important to us. We arrived at night, so did not get to see the entire campground but I was able to check out the playground with all the kids having a blast. I also had the opportunity to use the restroom and I have to say it was the cleanest restroom/ shower building I have ever been to in a campground. I would recommend this campground to anyone, we enjoyed a few days of rest and relaxation which is what we needed. Kudos to KOA Shawnee!

Stayed at this KOA this past weekend. The location is beautiful. We loved the sites we had: it was tent sites with water and electric. We were pretty close to the bathrooms. Mini golf, pickleball and volley ball area, and the live music was so much fun! The only issue we really had is the gravel of the tent site made it hard to set up one of our tents that needed to be staked into the ground. Staff was so nice and our sites when we arrived , bathroom, and common areas were clean. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.

We had a cabin with full bath kitchenette, very clean and cozy, the cabin had a beautiful porch to sit and relax with coffee in the morning. Our visit was in October, so Halloween festivities were in full swing! Decorations everywhere, you are invited to decorate to win a contest. In the evening a hayride to their haunted trail, which was VERY impressive! Trick or treating during day. This campground is spotless, there are so many activities for all!! Add their friendly helpful staff. 5 stars all the way!!
