Dayton House Resort

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach in many years. As a newly retired couple we wanted to get out of the snow in Ohio and enjoy some warmer weather. Our stay at the Dayton House Resort could not have been better. We stayed for 2 weeks in one of the "king" ocean side suites. The value of our stay was exceptional. The room was very spacious and very clean. The view from the outside balcony was outstanding. The room was well stocked with all the basic household necessities to service 4 people. The staff and service was extremely friendly and efficient and seemed to always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The location on Ocean Blvd was perfect for every activity we did from golfing,biking, restaurants, shows and local entertainment. The free daily breakfast buffet was an adde

We were so blessed with getting this amazing beach view for the price we paid. We loved the slier and balcony with chairs. We loved having the beach table and umbrellas. It was nice in our room to have a table and two chairs along with a stuffed chair, plenty of seating. The bathroom shower/toilet area is a bit small but also having the sink outside the bathroom was handy. Lots of counter space for personal items (not big enough for suitcases however). The room and building could use some individual restorations though I am sure it has been though many storms recently too. The breakfast area is located across the street and though the parking lot but is a large former restaurant it felt and the options was nice and the service great. We got a discounted off season rate from super but even at regular rates, we found this place excellent. Great staff. Clean. Old but maintained. Lanai wonderful. Large room with sofa, table, chairs, and kitchenette. On the beach with pools and lots of grass and deck lounges.Breakfast eggs,waffles, sausage, etc. with good coffee.

We just spent two weeks at this resort. The oceanfront view was spectacular. The rooms were updated and clean. And the staff was exceptional. I will recommend this resort to anyone visiting the Myrtle Beach area..
