Days Inn by Wyndham Lake Charles

It's a shame that 1 star is the lowest rating I can give them. They never returned my $50 deposit, the blankets were dirty, and the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. I'm never staying at this hotel again, no way. I'd rather sleep on the street than go back there. -1000 stars

Positive: Price Negative: Room 300, 301,302 has black mold furniture has water damage. Floors have a sogginest to them. The only towel to dry off with was bath mat. Also they advertise breakfast and pool. But checking in they have a sign pool and breakfast is not available.

Room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Check in went smoothly. Room was nice and about what was expected for the price. |We were awakened before 8 a.m. by weed eating and mowing right outside our room. We definitely could have done without that!!

The people who run the place are so unfriendly. I drove from Texas, after saying we could check in at 5 am with an early check in fee… we arrived during night audit so waited another hour and a half in our car. Only to be told there was no rooms… she showed no remorse or care that we were out of a room. Basically ignored us while we sat there asking for a solution. Finally we got a room but she was very snooty and rolled her eyes at us. Very poor customer service.

Service at the desk was fast and friendly. Though there was one small corner with water damage, the room was extremely clean otherwise. Although the washing machine broke, someone came out in about two minutes and manually flipped the switch on (the part that takes quarters was jammed) so I could do my laundry. The AC worked great, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is only a few snack options but was still a nice touch.
