Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake

RUDE, NASTY AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I do not like leaving negative reviews for any business, however, this experience has been so poor that I feel it would be doing a disservice to other patrons to not post this. I do alot of traveling and stay at a great many hotels. I can truly say that the Days Inn on Route 46 in Budd Lake, NJ has provided the lowest level of customer service that I have ever experienced. I am shocked that in the hospitality industry, an establishment would be able to remain open with a staff so profoundly rude. Do yourself a favor and book The Baymont right down the street.

Positive: Location Negative: There is a constant strong smell of gas in the elevator , we told the front desk on duty and he said is normal .

Was in town for a wedding. Check in was a little bit rough. Was told over the phone by front desk no deposit was needed if using card if cash $50 deposit needed. When I got there of course that was not true so I gave my last bit of cash for deposit. Room was clean n a good nights sleep. Small towels. Good continental breakfast. Check out was rough they claimed no receipt could be printed and they would email later because the system was down. That was last week on the 8th I still have not received. Giving me my cash deposit was weird cause they stated it would be written on paper and in computer system so there would be no issues. Yet the man at front desk still made me wait until he called someone, even after he checked those two things. As if I was lying even with him seeing it lol

The stay ended well, but started off rough. I made arrangements for a special check-in time as a condition of selecting this hotel and was assured my request would be accomodated. When I arrived the room was NOT ready as agreed and I had to wait. The desk agent hassled me about it and I asked if he wanted my business or should I take it to his several other competitors who said they could accomodate me. He finally capitulated. The heater in the room did not work and needed repair which they promptly took care of. The room was clean and comfortable and the stay ended well.

I dont normally leave reviews, either way, good or bad or indifferent but my wife and I had such problem with the front desk guy that i feel it necessary to say that this place is a terrible choice for a hotel in this area of budd lake. Its an ok hotel at best as far as looks. The front desk guy is straight up rude and nasty and always looking for a problem. He made my wife and i very uncomfortable. Becsuse of this guy this place is by far the worst experience we've had in a hotel. We travel for fun and work and are in hotels often. If considering this hotel, dont. Try any other hotel in the area. There are quite few. Id rather stay at some of the less nice looking hotels than here ever again. We will avoid this hotel at literally all cost. Id gladly pay more for worse looking hotel for
