DASKK Orlando Hotel near Universal Blvd, an Ascend Collection Hotel

This hotel was "recently redone" I stayed for a conference and it seemed more appropriate for families, it was really nice anyway. The layout upon waking in was a small table and kitchenette with a couch that was an optional bed the room has a barn door that was either a King or 2 Queen beds. TV was on both walls and plenty of shelf and drawer space. The bathroom was split and very modern and spacious. I really liked the layout and it would accommodate my family of 6 much better than the typical hotel. ( unless we get a family suite) The courtyard has a pool and small water feature for kids and cabanas. It was centrally located and close to mostly anything. I liked the breakfast options and it was included with my stay. (Breakfast was the only service) A small store was by the check in

Highly recommend this hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Beds are comfortable. Shower has a nice flow to it. The pool is nice with a hot tub and kids area. We didn't pay for parking since we are Expedia Prime members and got parking for free. It's centrally located to all the theme parks. Will definitely stay here again.

The checkin process and room were amazing. However, the fact the pool was closed with no heads up and no timeframe on when it will reopen and the bar being shut down put a huge damper on my birthday vacation. The whole point of coming to a warm weather location was to be poolside. Then I was told I could go to the hotel across the street to use their pool and that pool was closed for maintenance as well. It was a great stay aside from that, but it definitely needs to be said upfront if major amenities are unavailable because that is a huge part of why people book.

The hotel itself and the rooms were very nice. The complimentery hot breakfast was good also. My only complaint was that when they "serviced" the room each day, they would only would empty the trash. They didn't replace any used towels left on the floor and the NEVER made the bed.

Positive: Bed was comfortable shower was okay Negative: Literature said $50 deposit they charged $100 deposit and fully processed it, pool closed entire stay, Spa closed, restaurant closed, High parking fee
