Full disclosure.. i'm going to struggle writing this review because the woman who runs it was incredibly kind.. but as an avid traveler i feel reviews are really helpful when booking places..Sooo.. Upon arrival, as many others reviewers stated, this place didn't have my reservation.. and i know that is an issue with the website but still that NEEDS to be addressed.. if you're considering booking CALL afterwards to ensure they got it!! Luckily (or unluckily) she had a room and gave it to me at a discount.. Which at the time, totally appreciated!!! I will update if my card was charged twice for the original booking, and the new one, but as of NOW it has only been charged once.. The location, totally my bad i booked a place at the wrong entrance than i wanted, but this place is REALLY close t
A warm and welcoming stay — perfect for travelers with dogs Dancing Bears is a bit tucked away in East Glacier Village — not hidden exactly (there’s a big sign on the road), but it feels like a quieter, lesser-known spot. I’m so grateful to the owners who welcomed me with a big smile, especially since I’ve had such a hard time finding dog-friendly places since I entered Montana. There weren’t many rooms left, but they offered me a lovely, clean, and comfortable room at a very reasonable price. The owners were incredibly available and helpful — the kind of people who will do anything to help without hesitation. They gave great local tips and were so sweet with my little dog, who felt truly welcome (a rare feeling near a national park!). The setting may not be the most scenic, but the roo
We made reservations a few months ago and received a confirmation #. When we checked-in, the Inn couldn't find our reservation even when presented with our printed confirmation. Expect limited assistance from staff and only after a lengthy and detailed inquiry. Fortunately there was a room available. Unfortunately, the room had a cracked window with a baseball size hole in it. The bathroom window was boarded over. The cold water sink faucet handle was completely missing. The floor has soft spots that feel like your foot could go through. We had to request basic bathroom items from the staff as the room was not sufficient stocked. No luggage stand was in the room to place luggage on. No place to hang jackets or clothing as the closet rod was missing; nor hangers available. The two
This place is the worst I’ve ever stayed in, by far! The outside was dilapidated and overgrown with weeds, and strewn with litter. The cabins were rotting, and some of the outside furniture was broken. It looks closed, or like it should be condemned! The curtains in my room didn’t close all the way and anyone could see right in. I stripped the second bed, which revealed a nasty, stained mattress, and hung the sheets over the bent curtain rod for privacy. All of the lampshades were so dirty they looked fuzzy. The blinds in the bathroom and sink area were so dirty they appeared brown. I refused to bring my luggage into the room for fear that I’d take bugs home, or there would be rats in my room at night and I would need to leave quickly. There was no other place to stay in town! The bathroom
My room was spotless and as advertised. The room was decorated with love and the furniture was real wood as opposed to tacky laminate stuff you might find in chain hotel rooms. My room included a shaving kit which I was very thankful for. The host and owner were incredibly hospitable and saw that I was fed breakfast and dinner. After about 8 hours on the road I was extremely thankful to find this place and be treated as a valued customer. Thank you so much for taking care of me.
